Hi,
this is a general call to vote (do not please Flame here only say YES NO).
Shall we freeze the skaven race?
'If we do that we are going the skaven players who require it a chance to pick up a player from another race+level+equipment transfer.'
PS: Please put your thoughs in 'General Skaven Discussion forum'.

seems fitting i suppose to remove them for a while.. however, with this idea to reimburse said skaven players with other chars of same level,eq,etc... does that mean their skaven player is deleted and a trade is done for it?

A temporary freeze for skavens would be good imho in the sense that at the moment we have too few players for a 3rd side. It also makes it easier for the coders and myself to balance 2 sides properly then to try and hit and miss skill after skill trying to balance for three. As for trading chars in, I personally think it would be a bad idea,in the sense that in the future skavens will be made available again and then those who had them are gonna wish they had them back.

What I ment with reimburse was: it will be offered and it will occur only and only if the player wants it. But as Slaanesh pointed out it will be a one way. :(

Hmmm I don't think my vote should count since I do not have a skaven. Should ask all the current Skavens how they feel about a deep freeze.

I wouldn't agree to any char of your choosing. If you wanted to trade in a stormvermin for lets say a wardancer, soldier, or dwarf warrior ... sure. But trading in a stormvermin for cleric or mage would be ridiculous, as those aren't even similiar types of chars. A grey seer for a mage or cleric sure. A plague monk for a slayer, sure. An assassin for a druid? Nope, doesn't sound right.

But because I started as a Black Orc, I feel the same hatred I have for hobbits, because I played Troll, for Skaven. So I'd automatically say 'yes' to no Skavens for now ;p

But I'd have to agree with the main point, no large playerbase yet so we'll be stuck with 2 players on white, 2 players on green and 1 on dark? :)

Let me also point out that we are also working for an alternative solution at the moment therefore even if we freeze ithe race it will be for a few Morr months.

I hate to say this, but can the skavens for now. I know you immortals are sick of our bitching and whining about how underpowered we are, and frankly I'm sick of doing it and being ignored. Sure, you think whatever you want, but you don't go out and try to pk with my character. Defense means nothing anymore no matter how high mine gets. Our moves are pure crap no matter what. I have worse move bonus than a lvl 19 grey seer and I have 62 str/con, max wild, leather boots, and only 100 lbs of eq. I change my vote from a probable no to a definite yes.

I'd prefer that all race/classes had an equal chance movewise, rather irritating when you play dying not because you lacked skill, but because someone had a spell that let them run circles around you. Is definately something I'll need to look into while rebalancing things.
