I justed wanted to verify that the stat changes mentioned in news 124 are working as intended.

I went to reroll my Marauder and I found that certain stat adjustments were no longer possible. For example, you can no longer drop int and spi as much as say a warrior would like, in fact Int is already at its min for Marauders atleast(34) and spi is at 36 so if you drop it to 34 you only get 1 adjustment point.
The odd thing is that you can drop Str and con to 20ish each. That doesn't seem right for a warrior class to have a lower min str and con then int/spi.

But again, i am just trying to clarify that these changes were made intentionally and not just a side effect of modified min/max stats. If the changes are here to stay then I think you should auto reroll all old chars, which would not be great, but it would not leave 'tweaked' old chars to destroy new chars that have harsher stat restrictions.

I completely agree with Kanwulf about the forcing all old chars to auto reroll on login. Of course that could be because being the stupid newbie that I am, I rerolled all my chars just to see what kind of stat boosts were now possible. IMHO seems that these stat changes strongly increase the capabilities of casters because of the rather large increase in int/spi/wil and the rather small (in comparison) changes to warrior stats... I'm not saying that these changes suck, seeing as how the game was completely hitflee for pk leaving casters with little/no chance, but if characters are allowed to keep their old warrior stats, they will completely decimate the newly rerolled melee classes.

wow, a response. I was beginning to feel like I was being ignored. heh. The forced/auto reroll should happen but I think they also need to change some things about raising the min level of stats some classes might find useless. I know on Kanwulf atleast I have little desire to get any spells because of their low eff vs mana cost. Especially when I have such a neat skill( tribal communion) to put my mana to use with. So I lowed int and spi to 23 or so which was the old min, but now 34 is the min for both. And while we are at it lets talk about APT. The rumor is that it doesn't do anything at this point in time so now that I cant lower it past 30(25 was the old min) it is kind of annoying, thats whatever those 5 points equal in adjustment points to play with.

Anyways, I agree with Ridley these changes are good if they decrease the ability of a max str con dex hit fleer, and give other classes a chance.

Talking about stats in the present tense is pretty much worthless at the moment as these will all be changing in the near future.

Currently, apt does do something, a few somethings in fact. If these aren't important to you though not a big deal.
