| From my point of Skaven race must be put to ice:
- we have not enough player base atm. - in real warhammer world skaven are now known to everyone, they are well hidden and are only known by heretics. - currently they have the best class in the game: stormvermin - a 3 side to keep track atm, in a game wich is as balanced as right now: from fight system, from skill-spell system, from the pk point of view makes the things over complicated. Even if we can balance something at the next step another issue woul arise. - the planned skaven home is far far far away from being build-up. The tunnels we have atm are just temporary. - skaven race is not supposed to be the best race to play and should never be, they should be hard as hell and for sum hell fun to play and not yet another race with a cool name and spells and skills. Therefore after hearing the same thing from at least 4-5 people I decided to open a vote and put my thoughts forth. Feel free to spam here all about the Skaven and the current game situation. | |

| First point I kind of agree with.
Second point, they are also one of the most numerous races maybe even outnumbering humans (according to The Loathsome ratmen and all their vile kin, a fluff book published by GW). Most men of the empire would probably think a skaven was somekind of a beastman not a specific race. Third point I cant really say anything about that as I dont got any stormvermin. Fourth point cant say anything about that. Fifth point Do people complain on the tunnels, or do they understand that not everything can be done at the same time. Sixth point I do not think that skaven is the best race to play atm, see log of me getting spanked by a dwarf 5lvl lower. And last what happens to the skaven char there is? I wouldnt like not beeing able to play this char for a unknown timeframe, and I dont want to 'trade' it for some other char. | |

| Well... Stormvermin is not the best class in the game anymore. My def and ob may seem insane, but 200 defense does nothing against even an elf with an axe. And considering my relatively low max hps and inability to cast cure spells... I get pwnt :( | |

| In the warhammer world, although skaven at times become the most numerous race and erupt from their tunnels due to lack of space and need for food and other supplies, they are usually more hidden about their activities. Most humans have forgotten about them at the time we are set at, except for a few authors and scholars. There is a large skaven presence under Nuln at the moment, but the general populance does not know about them. This is what we will eventually be working towards I believe. | |

| I think that there is rather many who has seen and even fought against skavens (not in large battles, but skirmishes) but never seen them as anything else than beastman or mutants.
On a side note: the Empire denial of skaven excistens is one of the things that doesnt really makes sense in wh, as both Dwarfs and Tileans has 'good' knowledge about the ratmen. Well enough ranting for now. | |

| Alot of the denial is promoted by the skavens themselves. They don't want their actions known until they are totally confident that they have the upper hand and have weakened their enemies significantly. At this point in history, even though they are allies, dwaves and humans don't exactly talk much or share knowledge about such things as skavens. Also, since there is such a push against chaos, alot of those who study such things get branded heretics or as evil themselves, so get elimiated before they can prove anything useful. This is prob a tactic the skaven themselves use to get rid of any who come too close to their secrets. | |
