PROMPT [COMMAND TOGGLE] Type: Utility Syntax: prompt { { H | M | V | T } | all | none } Description: The prompt is the line where commands are typed. There are several options for what this line should display. Some things are always displayed, while several other things can be turned on or off. *> This is the standard prompt, with prompt set to none, and the skills climb, swim and sneak turned off. These three skills will always show in prompt if they are turned on. * CSW> The prompt command lets you toggle on and off the following: Hit points (H), mana (M), move points (V) and terrain (T). There is also the option of turning all of the above on and off through "prompt all" and "prompt none" commands. The terrain prompt will always be visible if it is turned on. It will show a symbol next to the * in the standard prompt. See Help Terrain to see which symbol means which terrain. For the other options in prompt they will be displayed whenever they are less than full. For example, if "prompt H" is turned on, it will show your hit point status at all times, unless you are at full hit points. Note that it does not show exact hit points, but just the basic state you are in (i.e Fine, Hurt, Wounded etc.). Note: Immortals also have invisibility status and room number visible in their prompt. Example: *O CSW HP:Fine Mana:Burning> Means I have turned on Climb, Sneak and Swim, and I have prompt all turned on. Thus it shows terrain (O = cave/tunnel), and my hit points and mana status. It does not show moves at the moment, because they have not really been affected yet. * W> Means I have turned on Swim, but not Climb nor Sneak. I have turned prompt for terrain off, and I have either the HP/Mana prompt off as well, or I am full, so nothing shows. Abbreviations: pro(mpt) See Also: TERRAIN, UTILITY
