TELL | REPLY [COMMAND] Type: Private Communication Target: player Syntax: tell or reply Description: A Tell is some sort of "telepathic" communication that can be sent to any friendly (same side of war/immortal) and visible target. This message can be sent to anywhere in the world, as long as the target is able to hear you. Since tell isn't very logical in a roleplaying environment, it should be used mainly for out-of-character communication, although there is no rule that forbids in-game communication through tells. The reply command will send the message to the one you last received a tell from. You cannot use tell when stunned, sleeping or otherwise incapacitated. In addition, there might be some areas in the world that prevents you from using your voice (and telepathic capabilites...). NOTE: tells will be sent also when your target is within a message editor (such as typing a message on a board). If you yourself are within such an editor you have to use the whole command (tell Name) - abbreviations will not work. Abbreviations: t(ell), rep(ly) See Also: COMMUNICATIONS, SAY, WHISPER, YELL, NARRATE, GOSSIP, SHOUT, EMOTE, ASK (ALSO: RULES CHANNELS)
