Description:
 There are a couple of places where the terrain is visible to your character. In
 the character's prompt, if he/she has "prompt T" turned on, and on the map 
 visible through "map" command. 

 Here is the legend for the various terrains (Note that on the map, it only
 shows the most dominant terrain, see HELP MAP for more info):
